Ventilation Heat Recovery Complete Install. This project was to completely remove all old existing ventilation and install up to date heat recovery ventilation unit to accommodate a large office.
Leicester City Council
Due to the County Council limiting the amount of buildings they were currently occupying the idea was to make 1 or 2 offices as a central hub for office staff. This would mean a complete re-design of the office space they have. This led to a complete refurb of the unit.
Platinum Maintenance have been completing work for the council for many years which includes ventilation system maintenance and install and air conditioning servicing and legionella cold water tank services.
Although I have started up a company the council has chosen to still use our services.
Complete redesign and spec for the ventilation for the building
With the large attic area to work with we took the opportunity to run all the main pipework above the office.
With the heat recovery unit and the heater batteries installed we worked with the site manager and the plans drawn out to locate all the inlet and outlet vent ports in the correct positions.
Toilet and Kitchen extract fans also installed
The Results
After the completion of the building refurb, we balanced the whole system for optimal air office change.
The rate of ventilation for an area is normally expressed in ‘air changes per hour’, i.e. the number of times per hour that the entire air volume of the area is changed. The rate selected depends on the type of room and the activity being undertaken. Typical applications range between 5 and 15 air changes per hour.
